Upgrade Instructions for Previous Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha Users to the Latest Alpha Version:

You can upgrade without losing the icons you have placed on the dock in previous versions by going into the Circle Dock directory and System -> Settings, where you see a file called DockItemData.ini. Just copy this file over into the new Circle Dock directory location under System -> Settings.

Where can I ask questions/provide bug reports/talk about Circle Dock?

You can do so at the official Circle Dock Support Forum: http://www.donationcoder.com/Forums/bb/index.php?board=240.0

How do I get more icons/skins and install them?

Circle Dock uses the same icons and skins that Rocket Dock and Object Dock use. Just search on Google and you should find plenty of user generated icons and skins. All the icons and skins are basically high quality PNG images. Just browse in the folder where Circle Dock is installed look in "Icons" and "Skins" to see what they really are. To install new icons and skins, just copy them into their respective folders. Just becareful not to use malformed icons or skins because they can cause Circle Dock to crash.

How do I put Circle Dock on a USB memory stick and run it on a portable device?

For Circle Dock 0.9.2: Portability Mode is not yet implemented.

For Circle Dock 0.9.1: To use the program on a USB memory key, simply unzip the program to the memory key and then:

Right-click on the dock and select "Settings"
Go to the "Behavior" tab and check "Portibility Mode"

Now you can simply drag the files and folders from the memory stick onto the dock and the links will work even if you change computers. Be sure to not drag files and folders from a source outside the memory stick because they likely won't work when you change computers.

I can't seem to drag the "My Computer", "Recycle Bin", "Control Panel", "Network Connections", etc. icons onto Circle Dock.

For Circle Dock 0.9.2: Some folders on Windows are virtual folders meaning that they don't actually have a regular path name that Circle Dock can record. However, they can be accessed by calling their registry keys. Work is being done to allow the user to just drag and drop these virtual folders onto the dock like any other file/folder. It is not known when this feature will be completed but it is a high priority.

For Circle Dock 0.9.1: Some folders on Windows are virtual folders meaning that they don't actually have a regular path name that Circle Dock can record. However, they can be accessed by calling their registry keys. Circle Dock comes with a number of these virtual folder registry keys in its CircleDockConfig.ini file. To load one of these special items, right click on Circle Dock and select "Add Special Link".

How can I delete an icon/link that is shown on Circle Dock?

There are two ways: You can either do it by right clicking and selecting "Remove" or you can drag the item over to the centre of the dock and drop it there.
