Upgrading From Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha 7 to a Newer Alpha 8
The procedure for upgrading to a newer Circle Dock version has changed. The recommended way is shown in the screenshot above:
(1) Ensure that Circle Dock is not currently running.
(2) Then, simply go into your old Circle Dock directory and go into "System" folder.
(3) Copy the entire contents of the "Settings" folder into the new Circle Dock folder that has Alpha 8. This will import all your old settings into Alpha 8 and Circle Dock will make any necessary changes to the files in the "Settings" folder.
You may also want to copy over your "Background" and "Icons" directories if you have custom items in there.
Upgrading From Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha 7 to a Newer Alpha 7.X Version
Starting with Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha 7.4, you can upgrade Circle Dock without losing any of your settings or images that you are using on your current version of Circle Dock. This is a new feature of Circle Dock 0.9.2 Alpha 7.4 and it means that practically all future versions of Circle Dock will be able to migrate your existing settings to a newer version and use them.
To upgrade, simply download the latest build of Circle Dock from the download page and copy the new CircleDock.exe file into your existing Circle Dock folder. That is all there is to it! Just run the CircleDock.exe file like you normally would.
